The key objective of the course “European Union Law” is to provide the basic knowledge of contractual and institutional mechanisms of the European integration, to define peculiarities of EU institutions decision-making, to determine specific features of the legal nature and the legal force of EU acts. The meaning of the course also consists in the development of students’ abilities for analytical thinking as it is dominantly based on the inductive method and concentrates the substantive scientific information acquired through subject-empirical, historical, comparative and other studies; development of skills of individual identification of the EU law legal nature specifics; acquisition of ability to forecast the direction of the legal systems development; obtainment of insights concerning the mechanism of cooperation between the EU and other subjects of international law.
